About Stacia
Stacia Friedman is an award-winning writer whose articles appear in leading newspapers and magazines, including Philadelphia Style, Intermezzo, Elegant Wedding and Bucks. She is currently an editor at Main Line Today and a contributor to Delaware Today and The Hunt. Her areas of expertise include travel, gourmet cuisine, lifestyle, healthcare and humor. In addition to her journalism career, Stacia is a prolific, creative writer of short stories, novels, plays and screenplays. She worked in the film industry in Los Angeles as a story analyst for independent producers and literary agencies. Stacia has taught at Chestnut Hill, Rosemont and Arcadia Colleges. For over 15 years, her workshops have inspired beginning and experienced writers to realize their creative potential. After completing her degree in Fine Arts from Temple University, Stacia's passion for writing motivated her to pursue graduate studies in writing at Temple University, UCLA and the American Film Institute. She served as a juror for the 1997 Pew Fellowships in the Arts and was the winner of the 1994 Philadelphia Film Festival Screenwriting Award. Her short stories have been nominated for Best of the Pushcart Press and she is the recipient of the American Jewish Press Excellence in Journalism Award. Stacia Friedman was awarded a 2006 Fellowship by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
